Work and Study – How to Get Experience Even Before Becoming a Graduate!

Congratulations! You’re living a student’s life! You’re still struggling a bit with everything. It hasn’t been the best start, but it’s understandable, every new beginning has its difficulties. You already have plans of becoming a financial analyst or an administrative assistant; actually, you would be pleased with anything that has to do with business, but there is still a long way to go and you have to focus on your studies first.

Surprisingly enough, the first year is easier than you thought it would be. Teachers like you and your grades are better than average. You’re seriously thinking of getting a job next year. Problem is, how can you do both at the same time, with the same results? It all depends on how flexible your schedule is. If you have classes-break-classes-break-classes-home at last, then it’s no use searching for a part-time job, if you’ll be completely exhausted by the time you get home. The purpose here is to make both experiences pleasant, not to get stressed out that you can’t do the first one properly because of the second one.

The other solution would be looking for a job you can do from home, like what I am doing right now: writing an article. There are all sorts of jobs you can find online and which will help you prepare later for a full time job, since the interactions between contractor-employee on the Internet are pretty similar to what you’ll face when you’ll apply for a full time job. You will get used to writing cover letters, probably having to write a bunch of them, since chances are you won’t get hired within ten minutes of applying. You can go for something easy, like transcriptions, if you have a good ear. If you’re good with foreign languages and you also have various certificates, go for a job as a translator. If you master the pen, you could try finding a job as an article writer.  The advantage of this is that even if you have certain deadlines, you can have several days in which you can work before reaching that deadline.

You can do them both; the question is how you do them.  Always keep in mind that a day doesn't have more than 24 hours  and choose what's best for you
